University of Idaho Students Visit Lucky Friday for Core Logging Workshop

Hecla’s Lucky Friday operation hosted students and visitors from the University of Idaho for a Core Logging Workshop, sharing expertise with the next generation of geologists and engineers.
Participants worked hands-on with Hecla’s team, exploring every stage of the process—from drilling and coring to core logging and data interpretation. The workshop brought classroom concepts to life, giving students the chance to experience geology in action where Earth science meets engineering and industry.
