Data & Reporting

As part of our commitment to accountability and results, Hecla voluntarily engages with a variety of organizations and frameworks at a global and national level to ensure that we are disclosing performance data and adhering to the highest standards of ESG policies and performance.

Each team and individual must take ownership of delivering results and following through on commitments, acting with responsibility and courage to support Hecla’s best interests and always acting in the best interests of the company. Through collaboration and teamwork, our goal is to achieve operational excellence.

How Hecla Reports on Sustainability Performance

Hecla reports on sustainability performance in a number of ways. For example, we prepared the 2025 report with reference to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, including its 2024 sector standard for mining, which took effect on January 1, 2026.  We also benchmark performance against the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Metals and Mining Standard and report against relevant aspects of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

Our metrics can be found in our 2025 Data Tables and GRI, SASB, and TCFD Content Appendix.

This report outlines our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance and targets.

Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)

We report using the TCFD by incorporating climate-related risks and opportunities into our risk management and strategic planning processes.

United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

Hecla recognizes that each United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UN SDG) is important, and we indirectly contribute in some way to the majority of them. We have prioritized the SDGs that align most directly with our business, corporate strategy, sustainability efforts, and stakeholder expectations, while also representing our greatest opportunities to contribute further to the goals.
