Lucky Friday is a Strong Community Partner

Hecla supports nearby municipalities with essential services such as working with the County to maintain the roads we use and provide donations to local organizations. In 2024, Hecla donated $70,000 to local clubs, activities and charitable organizations. Lucky Friday employees also serve in local government, participate in the Idaho chapter of Women in Mining, and volunteer as coaches for youth sports and other community efforts. For example, through the Adopt-A-Highway program, employees removed garbage from a two-mile stretch of highway near Mullan, Idaho and the environmental staff of Lucky Friday are actively involved with the South Fork Coeur d’Alene watershed group.
