Hecla Wins Safety Awards Across Operations

| In 2023, Hecla was recognized for a commitment to safety across our company. Those receiving awards include: Greens Creek–annual Hard Hat Safety Award from the Alaska Miners Association. Casa Berardi–F.J. O’Connell trophy by the Québec Mining Association; earned second place at the 2023 Provincial Championship in mining rescue. Hecla–2023 Mine Safety and Health Technology Metal Sector Innovation Award from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for developing the Underhand Closed Bench method for underground mining. Fire Creek–Sentinels of Safety Award from the National Mining Association for the second year in a row. Hecla employees who work at Nevada locations received 2023 Safety Awards from the Nevada Mining Association (NVMA). |
